About Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is one of the most beautiful treks along the remote areas of Nepal, offering spectacular views of the Langtang Mountains. The route in the Langtang Gosainkunda Lake trek offers magnificent views of the verdant landscapes and majestic ponds having religious values. The Langtang Gosaikunda lake trek provides the trekkers to head to the Kyanjin Gompa, and on the second half of the Gosainkunda, the pass trek leads to the serene lakes in Gosaikunda. Tamang, the prevalent ethnic community in the routes along the Langtang Valley Gosaikunda trek, decorates the trails with their unique culture.

To the north of Kathmandu Valleytrekking to the Langtang Gosaikunda is famous in the Langtang region. It is an easy and renowned trek compared to the other trekking routes. One having no prior mountaineering experience but wants to explore the beauty of the Langtang region can trek along the trails of Langtang Gosainkunda Trek. Our Langtang Valley Gosaikunda Trekking starts from Kathmandu Valley with a scenic drive to Sybrubensi. The trail ascends through the Langtang National Park and heads to Lama Hotel. From here, the trek heads through the pasture lands and reaches Ghodatabela. The quaint settlement of Langtang village lies ahead, and then ascending further, the tour reaches the glorious Kyanjin Gompa. Retracing the steps to Lama Hotel, taking a different route, the trek crosses paths with the Lauribina-la pass trek and heads to the Gosaikunda Lakes. These lakes are revered for their beauty and even more so for their religious essence in Hinduism and Buddhism. These lakes are said to have hosted the mighty Hindu god Shiva and celebrated the feats of his might during the full moon in August. Also entailing the trails of Langtang Gosaikunda Helambu trek, the trek crosses Lauribina-la pass (4610m) and descends along Ghopte, Chisapani, and Sundarijal.
