About Lodge, Food, and Drink During Short ABC Trek
There are some lodges along the Short ABC Trekking trail. You reach Chhomrong on the first day after leaving the car in Jhinu. Chhomrong is a large village, so you can find accommodation quickly on the first day. Afterward, you go to the Himalaya Hotel, crossing Sinuwa, Bamboo, and Dovan.
There are limited lodges after you cross Chhomrong village. So, if you are a solo trekker, you probably need to share accommodation in these areas during the busiest times, like October, November, March, and April. The rooms in the guesthouses are clean, with comfortable beds. Every guesthouse has one quilt and pillow on each bed, but you must bring a sleeping bag for the Trek.
For food, you will have a menu at the lodge where you stay. You can order food from the menu, including Western and local items. It means you do not always have local dishes during this 5-Day Short ABC Trek. It is a sacred region, so they do not serve meat on their menu after Sinuwa until the Base Camp.
The Short Annapurna Base Camp Trekking region has a unique management system that controls plastic. You cannot buy bottled water after Chhomrong during this Six-Day ABC Trek. The guesthouses sell boiled and filtered water that you can fill in your bottle, costing 100 to 200 NPR.
