Located at an altitude of 4,250m, Mardi Himal Base Camp, the culmination of the Mardi Himal trek, boasts stunning views of the Annapurna Region and the majestic Annapurna Himalayan range. Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993m), Annapurna South (7,219m), and the great massif of Annapurna (8,091m) itself all accommodated by the majestic Himalayan range which surrounds the region. All this without the crammed trails, viewpoints, and teahouses packed to the brim on the Mardi Himal trek. The small winding paths in the short Annapurna Trek lead up to vibrant hamlets each boasting unique cultures and a different way of life passed down by their ancestors which in a way gives a true definition of Hilly Nepal.
The itinerary of Mardi Himal Trekking Route starts from Kathmandu heading towards the captivating city of Pokhara either via bus which takes about 7 hours and winds through eye-catching landscapes and the raging Trishuli River or flight which takes about 30 minutes and gives us a birds-eye view of the region. The true trailhead, however, lies at Phedi from where we head to Deurali for our first night on the go. Trekking through enchanting forests and stunning landscapes we head towards forest camp followed by low camp finally resting at high camp at an altitude of 3,540m just in time to enjoy a memorable Himalayan sunset. Surrounded by enchanting views of the Himalayas we make our way up towards the upper viewpoint to enjoy the best views of the entire Annapurna Himalayan Range. The dark sky gives way to a red line and the snowy summits of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m), Mt. Fishtail (6,997m) and Mt. Annapurna (8,091m) slowly turn golden to orange offering the best Annapurna mountains view. The journey then winds down towards Siding and Lumde from where we head towards Pokhara, finally ending our 11-days affair in the Annapurna region.
