3 Days Poon Hill Trip Itinerary

This easy and comfortable trek of Poon Hill has a basic itinerary. You will start the journey from Nayapul and end at Pokhara.

Day 01: Nayapul to Tikhedhunga

This is the first day of the Poon Hill Trek - three days. From Pokhara, you will go to Nayapul. You can reach Nayapul by jeep or local bus. This journey takes 2 hours.

It is 42 kilometers from Prithivi Chowk to Nayapul. During this drive, you will pass through beautiful Lumle village. This village has several historic temples. People are friendly here. After a few minutes, you will reach Nayapul.

Your Trekking part will start from this place. Your destination for today is Tikhedhunga. The trek is easy, and you will start the journey uphill. After walking a few hours, the roads turn into trails. You need to follow Modi Khola.

Following the Modi Khola, you will pass the Rhododendron forest. You will cross the small stream along the way. The view of a mountain range, waterfalls, and dense forest will hypnotize. After half an hour, you will cross Birethanti. You will reach Tikhedhunga in no minutes. You will stay here tonight.

Day 02: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

After having a tasty breakfast, you will continue towards Ghorepani. This is the second day of the Poon Hill Trek three days tour. Today you need more focus and energy. It may be a more challenging trek than yesterday.

It is a 6 to 7 hours trek journey. You will pass through several villages and settlements. This is a beautiful part of this journey. You will pass the beautiful village and forests. The views are captivating.

You will pass through villages like Ulleri, Banthanti, and Nangge Thanti. Banthanti is Magar village. From this village, you will see a clear picture of Machhapuchhre. You will only reach Nangge Thanti after crossing the small river. You should climb to reach Nangge Thanti.

A few minutes later, you will reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani was a horse water-pointing place. This village lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area. Enjoy the majestic Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and many more. This village has many hotels and guest houses. You will stay here today.

Day 03: Ghorepani to Poon Hill and back to Pokhara

It will take 45 to 50 minutes to reach Poon Hill from Ghorepani. You will see an unbelievable picture in front of your eyes at the top of Poon Hill. The first sight of the Sun on the far horizon is an extraordinary moment for you.

This is the moment you have been waiting for. Click as many photos as you like. Take a selfie too. You will only stay here for a while. After this, you have to descend towards Nayapul. You will follow the same route as earlier.

You will enjoy these natural beauties for the last time on this journey. From Nayapul, you will take a jeep or bus and return to Pokhara. Now it's time to enjoy the beauty of Pokhara. It is famous for Phewa Lake and Machhapuchhre.
