Ghorepani-Poonhill trek is a journey that takes you close to the Himalayas, and even closer to the lifestyle of rural Nepal. This trek is quite short and easy; nevertheless, it is a perfect blend of mountainous beauty, serene environment, and cultural richness.

Ghorepani lies in the Annapurna region of Nepal and is surrounded by Annapurna, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri range. The excursion starts from wonderful city Pokhara and dives deep into the wildernesses of Annapurna Conservation Area. The major highlight of this trek is certainly the sunrise from Poonhill (3210m), which is one of the best spots for the 360o panoramic view of the Himalayas. As the sun rises from behind the mountains and as the sky gradually turns orange- right in front of your eyes, you will feel the true essence of the whole trip. Amid the trek, you will likewise get an opportunity to observe Gurung and Magar lifestyle and culture. At Ghandruk cultural museum, you can likewise be a piece of it by wearing the conventional Gurung dress. Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrive in Kathmandu(1350m.) overnight at hotel.On your landing in Tribhuvan International Airport, we will lift you up and drop you at your Hotel. You can enjoy a night stroll around Thamel, the touristic center point of Kathmandu.

Day 02pre-trip meeting and Kathmandu city tour.overnight at hotel.On the second day, the pre-trip meeting will be held at the lodging. The pre-trip meeting will cover the detail trip information. After the gathering, we will take a visit to Basantapur Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Bauddhanath stupa. We will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 03Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m.)6-7 hrs.Today, we will leave for Pokhara. The bus leaves Kathmandu at 7 am in the morning and it takes about 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara. On the way, you can enjoy beautiful views of hills, river, and mountains. On reaching Pokhara, you can roam around Lakeside.

Day 04Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedunga (1540m.)3 hrs.On this day, we will drive from Pokhara to Nayapul which takes around 60 minutes. From Nayapul, our trek will officially begin. The first day of the trek is relatively easy and we can reach Tikhedunga in about 3 hours.

Day 05Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850m.)7 hrs.This day, we will cross Tikhedhunga River through a suspension bridge. The day includes a steep climb of about 3300 stone steps that take us to Ulleri, a Magar village. In about 7 hours, we will reach Ghorepani where we are welcomed with beautiful views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range.

Day 06Hike to Poon Hill (3210m.) and trek to Tadapani (2630m.)5 hrs.The morning sunrise from Poon hill is an exceptional view; the 360o view of mountains glowing with brilliance. Thus to witness this pleasant sight, we will hike 1 hour uphill to Poon Hill. After returning to Ghorepani, we will head towards Tadapani. We will pass through rhododendron forests, oak forests, and Bhurung Khola before reaching Tadapani in about 5 hours.

Day 07Trek from Tadapani to Syauli Bazar. (1220m.)5 hrs.The trek from Tadapani to Syauli Bazar is mostly steep descents. Walking through the forests and rivers, you will reach a culturally rich village of Ghandruk in 3 hours. Ghandruk is mainly inhabited by Gurung, and you can visit the cultural museum and try Gurung dress as well. From Ghandruk, it’s 2-hour trek to Syauli Bazar.

Day 08Trek from Syauli bazar to Naya Pul(2 hrs.) and drive to Pokhara.1 hrs.The walk from Syauli Bazar to Naya Pul is relatively easy and takes about 2 hours. You will follow Modi River along the path. From Naya Pul, an hour drive will take us to Pokhara. On reaching Pokhara, we can visit some of the major destinations at Pokhara like David Fall, Peace Pagoda, Mahendra Bat Cave, etc

Day 09Drive back to Kathmandu.Fare well dinner with Frolic Adventure.On this day, we will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu, which takes around 6-7 hours. The night will be pleasant as we will have a farewell dinner for you.

Day 10Departure to international airport for your final flight.On the last day of your stay at Nepal, we will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
