Ghorepani Poon hill trek is five days long trek in the Annapurna region. This is the most visited trek by the internal and external trekkers every year. Dhampus Sarangkot trek offers the superb view of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu ranged mountains including Mt. Machhapuchchre. This trek starts from Phedi, after driving for about a half an hour from Pokhara by private transport and ascent three hours to Dhampus from where you see Annapurna and Manaslu Himalayan range with a beautiful sunrise and trek through a nice and clear long day trek to Sarangkot next day.

Sarangkot is a sunrise hill station near Pokhara so you see the beautiful lake city Pokhara on your right and the stunning Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu massif with the best sunrise of Nepal than a short hike down to Pokhara. You see so many paragliding flights while you are enjoying the view from the hill.

Mohare Danda Trek

Khopra Danda (ridge) trek is an ideal trek for families and children with the super Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif and much more. The forest will be very much colourful during the spring with blooming rhododendron.  You feel like touching to the high snow-capped mountains from the Mulde viewpoint.

The Khopra danda trek leads after driving about an hour to the Nayapul and trek to the biggest Gurung village Ghandruk. After spending the first night in Ghandruk, then trek continue to Tadapani from where the trails divide to Annapurna Base camp and Ghorepani Poon hill. Following the trail to Dobato, Khopra ridge, and Chistibung, you then trek to Swanta and ascend to the famous place Ghorepani. Here you will visit the Poon hill tour for the unblocked sunrise and the Himalayas then trek down to Tikhedhunga and Pokhara.

This newly opened Khopra Danda trek gives you lots of memories and natural stamps, by the heart touching hospitality of the locals and the superb view.

Mardi Himal Trek is the best trekking trail to see the Annapurna Himalayan range every day and nice valleys all around. Most of the trekking days trek through the ridge so the views are outstanding. You see the Pokhara valley on your right and Modi valley which the trail leads to the Annapurna base camp on your left. Mardi Himal trek is even better than trekking to the Annapurna base camp.

This one-week long trek starts from Phedi, after driving for about a half an hour from Pokhara and ascend to Deurali leaving Dhampus and Pothana behind. You trek through rhododendron forest after Pothana and Deurali than reach Forest camp. Ghandruk and Chhomrong village looks very nice from here.  You trek on the ridge with open view after this place and enjoy the view every moment.

Tamang Heritage Trek

Tamang heritage trek is a combined culture of Tamang and Sherpa with the great view of mountain ranges. This is a trek that can be done with a low budget. Tamang heritage trail trek is one of the best cultural and nature trek for the family, elderly, and cultural lovers.

Tamang heritage trek starts with about seven hours drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi. The trail follows upwards to Goljung Bhanjyang from where you can enjoy the view of Sanjen Himal, Chilime valley, and a big Tamang village Goljung. Following a flat and easy trail with the sounds of beautiful birds, reach to the main village Gatlang.

Nagthali hill is the main place to see the stunning mountains with sunrise and sunset than pass a Sherpa village Thuman. After Thuman, you descend to Bhotekoshi river and ascend to the Bridim where are nice monasteries and other Buddhist monuments. You trek to Syabrubesi back through the pine forest and the trek ends here.

This 8 days long Langtang valley trek supplies the history about the settlement of the Tibetan people and how they are staying as Tamang now. Outstanding Langtang valley trek is a really nice trek for the trekkers who are looking a trek in Nepal without hard physical fitness.

After the long journey drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the trek starts with following the Langtang River. Naturally growing marijuana fields, waterfalls, green forest, beehives, and much more other factors make your trek wonderful. Langtang valley trek is a perfect trek for the birdwatchers with more than 300 species of the birds. Sebok (natural thorn berries) juice is nice to have here and real Yak cheese factory in Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Ri and T-serkori are amazing viewpoints to see the Langtang Himalayan range.

This Langtang valley trek was badly affected by the big earthquake in 2015 so you may still see some destruction somewhere. 

Gosainkunda Trek

This one week long Gosainkunda trek is a gateway to heaven. The stunning mountain view of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himalayan ranges from the Lauribinayak is worth to see with the sunrise and sunset over those mountains. Gosainkunda trek is the perfect trekking destination for the Hindu/Buddhist pilgrims, families, elderly, and children to enjoy with the beloved nature.

Gosainkunda lake trek is also known as the frozen lakes trek which starts from Dhunche, after driving about 6 hours from Kathmandu. Following through the pine and rhododendron forest, reach a big Tamang village Syabru. You see the really good view from here than trek continues to Lauribinayak. Lauribinayak is an open place above the tree line from here, you see the stunning standing big snow-capped mountains with sunset and sunrise. Gosainkunda and the other lakes are after this place and there is a temple of Shiva. There are lots of Hindu pilgrims for their worship in August during the festival. The lakes will be freeze during the winter.

Helambu trek is one of the trekking trails with fewer trekkers so if you would like to trek with peaceful environment, you defiantly love this trekking.  This one-week long trekking offers the beautiful Himalayan range and real rural experience to the visitors.

Helambu trek starts from Kathmandu after driving for about an hour to Sundarijal and trek through the Shivapuri national park. Chisapani leads the trails to Nagarkot on the right and Helambu on the left. The trail is nice and easy until Patibhanjyang and ascends to Kutumsang and Thadepati. You take right to the Helambu from Thadepati and see Buddhist monuments and Hyolmo culture with Gauri Shankar and Langtang Himalayan range.

This less crowded trekking trail gives you the cultural, religious, and much more Nepali experiences with their great hospitality.

Indigenous Peoples Trek

Not much popular but very nice trekking trail to see different ethnic people, their culture, and lifestyle, indigenous peoples trail trek is one of the best options. Scenic mountains range with sunrise and sunset from different hills and feel the real rural lifestyle from a few hours’ drives from the capital city of Nepal, we recommend visiting indigenous peoples trail. Tamang, Sherpa, Sherpa, and Majhi are the main inhabitants of this trekking trail. Staying with Majhi near the riverside, see their cultural program and have the fresh fish which cooked in Majhi’s kitchen are the typical experience which you may not have with other trekking trails in Nepal.

Drive for about 5 hours from Kathmandu, you reach to Mude than the trek starts towards to Deurali. Crossing some village, traces, hills, Hindu and Buddhist temples with the great view, you trek down to the Lubughat and Nepalthok than drive back to Kathmandu with an unforgettable natural and cultural experience.

Indigenous peoples trail has not well-managed lodges and western foods so you need to stay with locals and in the community lodges during your trek.

Jomsom Muktinath Trek

Jomsom Muktinath trek is also known as Kaligandaki valley trek with surrounding snow-capped high mountains. This 9 days long trek is recommended for the families, elderly, and all the trekking lovers.  The deepest Kaligandaki river gorge, fossil, waterfall, and other attractions are the main attractions of this trek.

Jomsom Muktinath trek is a mixture of the greenery and the high mountain desert starting the trek following the Ghorepani Poon hill trek and reaches to a Hindu and Buddhist holy place Muktinath. You see Hindu temples, shrines, Buddhist monasteries and other monuments with a natural gas flame inside a monastery. This is a rain shadow region so you see the roofs of the houses with soil. You may visit more than 500 years monastery in Kagbeni and lots of manmade caves for the meditation than fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom.

The main inhabitants of this trekking trail are Thakali who are really famous for Nepali food Dalbhat with luxury lodges and nice hospitalities.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

You don’t have the very good stamina for this trek so it is another trekking route recommendation for the family, children, and all kind of hiking fans. Annapurna base camp trekking also can be done in a week.

Annapurna base camp trek supplies a lot of different Nepal experiences like attractive mountains, green forest, culture, hot spring, and much more. This trek leads the trail through Ghorepani Poon hill at the beginning and ends also to the same place.
