Annapurna circuit Trek is an epic journey through the Marshyangdi and Kali Gandaki valley. Annapurna circuit trek is also known as around Annapurna trekking. After the trek was opened in 1970, thousands of trekkers explore this region each year. The trek starts from the lower altitude and gradually head towards the technical Thorong high pass (5416m). The breathtaking Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range make your trek highly memorable. One of the world's highest lake ( Tilicho) also in this trek.
At the beginning part, there are plenty of green woods with striking waterfalls. It is easy to walk over. As you walk further, you reach to the Tibetan Buddhism influenced Gurung settlements. Pisang and Manang are the representative villages that are culturally loaded. During the acclimatization day at Manang, you hike to the Gangapurna Lake, which is amazing. Then the alpine excursion begins. Reaching Yak Kharka and Thorong Phedi, you need to prepare to climb over the Thorong pass. It is not only technical but also long and tiresome. Reaching the top, you can explore the Annapurna Himalayas, including Annapurna, Nilgiri, Himalchuli and Lamjung Himalayas. Beyond the Annapurna region, there is an arid region, where Muktinath temple lies. It is a renowned pilgrimage destination of Hindu and Buddhists. Walking through the Kali Gandaki River valley, you trek all the way to Tatopani via the Kali Gandaki gorge- the deepest gorge in the world. Then you join the Poon Hill route and trek down to Nayapul.
Annapurna circuit trekking is no doubt, diverse in flora and fauna. Rhododendron forest is dominated. Though the alpine section is treeless, it is decorated with white peaks. Jomsom valley is extremely arid. Such features are the superb attraction of the Round Annapurna trek. There are few different itineraries for this trek.
