Trekking to Gokyo valley embarks from Lukla after a short and picturesque flight from Kathmandu. It is through the main trail to EBC that you head passing numerous Sherpa settlements. The Sagarmatha National Park begins from Jorsalle and you head to the Namche Bazaar with a steep ascent. Here, you take a rest and acclimatization day that makes you easy to walk in the alpine altitude. Passing Dole and Machhermo, you reach to the stunning Gokyo Valley. It is located beside the shimmering blue lake. From Gokyo, you hike to the 5th Lake and Gokyo Ri. Ngozumba Glacier can be explored during that time. It is the longest glacier in Nepal. The sceneries of Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, and the neighbouring peaks offer a memorable experience that makes the Gokyo trek outstanding. Acclimatization is the necessary thing to follow to adapt in the high altitude. Hike to Goyo Ri and to 5th Lake help to acclimatize. Day 01Arrive at Kathmandu (1350m.)Upon our arrival at the Kathmandu international airport, a company representative from Frolic adventure will pick up us with a private transportation and transfer to the hotel. We meet the manager of the company in our hotel to talk about our trip. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02Kathmandu Valley full day Sightseeing.An expert heritage tour guide comes at our hotel with a private transportation at 9:00 am and takes us for the full day Kathmandu city tour. We visit four world heritage sites like Kathmandu durbar square, monkey temple, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath today and drive back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03Fly to Lukla(2840m.) trek to Phakding (26102m.)3 hrs.We have an early morning flight to Lukla and fly with a small plane and see the scenic mountain from the plane. after we land in Lukla, we have a cup of hot drinks and prepare for the trek. The trek today is not a long day we just walk about 3 hours with beautiful sceneries including some snowcapped peaks. Crossing some bridge and passing the Sherpa villages, we reach Phakding. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 04Trek from phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m.)6 hours.Today is a long day of our trek about 6-7 hours. We follow the Dudhkoshi river and cross 5 times on different suspension bridges. We enter Sagarmatha national park after Monjo and arrive Jorsale where we stop for our lunch. This is the last place where we can buy water and take enough water for another 3 hours until Namche. we cross a very high bridge and climb about 2 to 3 hours through the pine forest to Namche. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 05Rest and acclimatization day at Namche.Today, we hike up to the Everest view hotel viewpoint to see the stunning mountain view Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, and much more. We have some hot drinks in the Everest view with the beautiful sceneries and hike back to Namche. The hike takes about 4 hours in total and we explore in Namche after our Lunch visiting nice bakeries and bar for the movie. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 06Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4110m.)6 hrs.We trek on the trail for about two and a half hours which like a mountain walking highway with the amazing view of the mountains and the stupas. We split the trail to Gokyo valley from Sanasa take to the left ascending until Mong Danda and descend to the riverside Phortsetenga. Now, we enter the forest and may see some musk deer in this forest. among the trail to Dole, we pass come ice climb spots too and we will be above the tree line from the dole. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 07Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4470m.)4-5 hrs.The trail today is short and easy with unblocked mountain views. We trek most of the time on the ridge and see some yaks around the trail. Passing the Luzza we reach Machhermo which in a valley. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 08Trek fro Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4790m.)4-5 hrs.Leaving Machhermo behind we then trek to Gokyo. Today we pass the first and the second lakes where we see some beautiful Himalayan ducks. We see a high mountain Cho-Oyu and Gokyo Ri in front of us. Our lodge is on the side of the beautiful the third Gokyo lake so we can enjoy our lunch with the view of the beautiful lake from our dining. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 09Hike to 5th lake(4990m.)5 hrs overnight at Gokyo.After our early breakfast, we take some snacks with and hike to the fifth lake passing the fourth lake. The hike will take us about 5 hours today. When we reach the fifth lake, we see the whole shape of the mount. Everest. after the view of the mountains, glacier, and the lakes we than hike back to the lodge. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 10Hike to Gokyo RI (5360m) and trek down to Dole(4110m.)4 hrs.This is our a special day to see all the mountains of the Everest range. We hike up to the Gokyo Ri early morning about two hours steep from here we see four high mountains above eight thousand meters like Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho-Oyu with hundreds of the other beautiful mountains. We see Renjola trail to our right and lakes, Gokyo valley, and the biggest glacier of the Everest region to the bottom. after some beautiful pictures from the top, we hike back down to the lodge and have our breakfast. After our packing here than we trek back to Dole. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 11Trek from Dole to Namche bazaar(3440m.)5 hrs.Crossing non-foresty area, we trek back to the forest again with our familiar trail and climb to Mong danda. Descending from Mong Danda, we arrive on the beautiful trail back again and trek to Namche Bazaar with the beautiful view. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 12Trek from Namche bazar to Lukla (2840m.)6-7 hrs.Descending from Namche through the pine forest, we again cross the high bridge and other bridges back to Phakding where we stop for our lunch and trek another 3 hours to Lukla. We celebrate of our last mountain stay here and be ready for the adventure fly back to Kathmandu the next morning. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 13Fly back to Kathmandu and farewell dinner with Frolic Adventure.We have an early morning scenic flight to back to Kathmandu. once we arrive at the airport, our private transport will be waiting for us and takes us back to the tourist hub Thamel. We are invited for the farewell dinner by the company and join with Frolic Adventure this evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14Free day in Kathmandu.We may do some heritage tour or just explore around Thamel and do souvenir shopping for the friends and families. overnight at the hotel.
Day 15Departure to international airport for your final flight.We get the private transportation to drop us to the international airport for our final departure back home and say goodbye until our next Nepal visit.
