Changes in Kathmandu Lukla Flight

The flight from the Tribhuvan International Airport to Lukla airport are being diverted to the Manthali Airport starting from April 1, 2019, to July 30, 2019. The officials have stated that the runway at the Tribhuvan International Airport is going to be maintained during the mentioned interval.

You will be required to drive to the Manthali Airport which lies in Manthali, the headquarters of the Ramechhap District. You need to spend a night before flying to Lukla here and then get on a flight to Lukla. Returning to Kathmandu will also retrace the exact route back but you don't have to spend a night here when you return. Manthali Airport is 132 kilometres away from the east of Kathmandu and requires around 4 hours’ of a drive.

Helicopter Flight

You can fly to Lukla by Chartered Heli Flight from Kathmandu. It is advised that you should contact your travel partner to book a Heli flight to Lukla if necessary. You should also bear in mind that these helicopter flights cost you more than a typical aeroplane flight.

How I started writing

I was born in the countryside and finished my high school from there. After my high school, I came in Kathmandu and started to work as a trekking porter then I improved my English and started to work as a trekking guide at the same time I was a university student. While I was working as a tour leader, I visited all the Himalayan base camps in Nepal and collected lots of information about these areas. So my work inspired me to write and provide information about travelling Nepal to the visitors.
